Circle of Security Parenting (COSP)

This 12-hour course is delivered over 8 weeks, with 90-minute sessions each week.

Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) was developed with parents and caregivers in mind—particularly those experiencing stress or challenges in their caregiving relationships. The program supports parents who may feel disconnected from their children, have difficulty understanding their child’s emotional needs, or find themselves caught in recurring cycles of conflict, frustration, or misunderstanding.

COSP is especially valuable for parents who want to build a deeper, more secure connection with their children but may be unsure how to overcome the barriers standing in the way.

The beauty of COSP is its universal appeal. Virtually every parent and caregiver wants to feel connected to the children in their care. This makes COSP an excellent engagement tool that meets families where they are, regardless of their background, parenting experience, or current challenges.

Whether supporting a first-time parent who feels uncertain about their instincts or an experienced caregiver navigating new challenges with a particular child, COSP provides a practical framework for understanding children’s attachment needs and responding to them with greater confidence, compassion, and connection.

Through the program, parents and caregivers gain tools to better understand their children, strengthen their relationships, and create a more secure foundation for emotional development.

Offered in person or blended (part online part online). This can take place at my home or your place.

The availability of safe, quality, licensed child care is critical for Colorado families. Family Child Care Homes (FCCHs) play a crucial role in our early childhood care system. Providing home child care can be a rewarding career for those who love children and want to provide a safe environment for children to grow and learn. To become licensed in the state of Colorado, home child care providers must attend 15 hours of “pre-licensing” training. The “Family Child Care Home Pre-Licensing Training” meets this requirement.

Individuals who have a coaching credential in PDIS are required to complete 24 hours of reflective supervision or reflective consultation with a trained facilitator. Group and individual consultation available virturally.
