Zoning

Obstain a letter from your city or county basied on your address.

SSN or ITIN

Families will need this when they file their taxes. Obtaining an EIN for your business is free on the IRS website.

Application

Complete the application on the Provider Hub at least 90 days prior to wanting to open.

Fingerprints for Background Checks

All adults in the home must complete this.

  • State Criminal History check will be completed.

  • State Child Abuse and Neglect Registry check. They will check all states lived in the last 5 years. 

Health Statements

Get health statements signed for everyone residing in the home.

Required Trainings

Several trainings are done one time only. Some need to be done annually.

Prepare Environment

Prepare your home environment to meet licensing and so that children can thrive in your home. The Pre-Licensing class discusses how to prepare your home learning environment.

Develop Policies

36 policies are required by licensing. This will lay the foundation to providing safe and responsive care, clear expectations for your business and support positive relationships with families.
